Latvian skeleton slider Martins Dukurs receives the ''Athlete of the Year 2011'' award at the annual Latvian Sports Awards on Thursday. Last season, Dukurs won the Skeleton World Cup, Skeleton World Championships and the European Skeleton Championships, and currently is the overall leader in this season's Skeleton World Cup.
