    Estonian stocks open to broad-based decline again

    TALLINN, Sep 13, BNS – The Tallinn stock exchange opened to broad-based decline on Wednesday morning as, during the first hour of the session, the OMXTGI index moved down 0.55 percent to 1,837.14 points and turnover from 1,399 transactions totaled 329,038 euros.

    The biggest turnover, 82,200 euros from 241 transactions, was registered in shipper Tallink Grupp, which declined 0.85 percent to 0.7 euros.

    Renewable energy company Enefit Green was in second place with a turnover of 78,600 euros from 189 trades, moving down 0.49 percent to 4.038 euros. 

    Enefit Green told the stock exchange on Tuesday that it produced 82.6 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity in August, which is 28.8 percent more than in the same period last year. The production result was mainly driven by the production from new wind and solar farms under construction and/or completed this year -- accounting for more than 90 percent of the added production.

    The biggest losses in early session were registered in First North list share Punktid Technologies, which dropped 10.23 percent to 0.79 euros in seven transactions with a turnover of slightly over 200 euros. 

    The biggest decliner on the main list was builder Nordecon, which fell 2.28 percent to 0.772 euros in 51 transactions worth slightly over 500 euros in total. 

    Nordecon announced on Tuesday that Nordecon Betoon OU, a company of Nordecon, and Tulevara OU signed a contract for the construction of the Avant Center of Sami Masinakeskus to be built at 1 Segu Street in Saue near Tallinn, the total value of the contract is close to 3.3 million euros without VAT.

    There were only three gainers in the first hour of trading on Wednesday. The biggest gainer and the only share to do so on the main list was lingerie seller Silvano Fashion Group, which saw 21 trades and a turnover of 3,500 euros, rising 1.25 percent to 1.13 euros.

    The OMXTGI index fell 1.42 percent to 1,847.31 points in negative trading on the stock exchange on Tuesday as 2,376,266 euros' worth of shares changed hands in 4,272 transactions. The biggest turnover, 998,900 euros from 405 trades, was registered in Tallink Grupp, which declined 1.67 percent to 0.706 euros.
