RIGA, Sept 30 (LETA) - Riga is participating a joint project of European cities and regions aimed at promoting attraction of investment, Rita Petersone, a representative of the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, told LETA.

The Choose Europe project unites investment promotion agencies of 14 European cities and regions. The project's mission is to position Europe as the perfect place for international enterprises to grow sustainably and boost their competitiveness. The project's participants include cities, regions and metropolitan areas of Riga, Amsterdam, Bavaria, Catalonia, Berlin, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Lion, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw and Zurich.

Choose Europe launched in Helsinki on September 29th, and marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the 14 cities, regions and metropolitan areas. Initially the investment promotion campaign will target North America, focusing on digital channels and various events in European cities, like Web Summit and MIPIM.
